ATLANTIC COUNTY UTILITIES AUTHORITY (ACUA)
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA), a wastewater treatment plant located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, is quickly becoming a showcase for renewable energy.  WorldWater & Solar Technologies, Corp. was responsible for designing, engineering and supplying roof-top, ground-mount, and covered parking structure solar arrays totaling 500 kilowatts for the facility.

Additional information about the project is available on the ACUA website in a press release posted by ACUA when the project was first commissioned in Spring 2005- http://www.acua.com/about/pressrelease1.cfm?id=75.

Also on the ACUA website is a press release from September about the approval of the rebate for the solar project - http://www.acua.com/about/pressrelease1.cfm?id=93.

TRENTON FEDERAL COURTHOUSE ANNEX

This project marks the first solar installation for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Mid-Atlantic Region and the first GSA project for WorldWater.  Completed in November of 2007, this system is projected to yield an energy savings of approximately 50,000 kilowatt hours annually.  During daylight hours, the array provides a substantial portion of the building’s electricity and earns net metering credits from PSE&G for electricity produced when the offices are closed.

Location: Trenton, NJ
System Size: 40.8 kW
Installation Date: November, 2007
Cumulative Energy Production Estimate:  4,280,851 kWh

LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER

WorldWater & Solar Technologies designed and installed two solar electric systems at New Jersey’s most popular science museum, the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ.  The first system, a 122 kilowatt array, was installed on the roof of the newly expanded facility, while the second system was an innovative, 105 kilowatt “Solar Walkway” that serves to protect visitors from the elements while producing electric power from the sun.

Location: Jersey City, NJ
System Size: 122 kW roof-mounted array, 105 kW “solar walkway”
Installation Date: July, 2007
Cumulative Energy Production Estimate:  15,594 kWh
